Stride Student Living ("Stride") today officially opened Stride Wong Chuk Hang, its flagship student accommodation at 64 Wong Chuk Hang Road. The opening marks the launch of Stride’s student accommodation platform and its first property in Hong Kong, with the residence welcoming students for the 2026/27 academic year.

Located just two minutes’ walk from Wong Chuk Hang MTR Station, Stride Wong Chuk Hang offers over 300 beds across single, double and triple rooms, together with more than 9,600 square feet of communal facilities for studying, socialising and relaxation. With one of the largest common-area provisions per resident among student accommodation properties in Hong Kong, the residence is designed to give students ample space to connect and build a vibrant community beyond their rooms. The neighbourhood’s growing arts, cultural and lifestyle scene also provides an attractive environment for students to live, study and experience the city.

The opening comes as Hong Kong continues to strengthen its position as an international education hub and attract an increasing number of local and non-local students. As the demand for higher education grows, the availability of quality student accommodation remains an important part of supporting students and Hong Kong’s broader education and talent-attraction ambitions.

We believe Hong Kong deserves high-quality student accommodation that combines thoughtful design, professional management and a strong sense of community. We are very proud to see Stride Wong Chuk Hang open its doors and look forward to welcoming students to their new home.
Laurent Fischler, Executive Director of Stride

Stride Wong Chuk Hang has been extensively repositioned and renovated from its former use as a hotel to meet the needs of today’s students. Drawing on international best practices in student accommodation, the residence features brand-new furniture, upgraded HVAC and hot water systems, high-speed Wi-Fi, thoughtfully designed communal spaces and dedicated 24/7 on-site support. It also incorporates facial recognition access control, smart delivery lockers, privacy panels on beds and a range of spaces and facilities designed around students’ everyday needs.

The residence has also entered into an extended collaboration with The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts ("HKAPA"), under which HKAPA has secured bed spaces at Stride Wong Chuk Hang for allocation to its students from Academic Year 2026/27. The collaboration reflects the growing role of professionally managed private accommodation in supporting Hong Kong’s universities and students.

The opening of Stride Wong Chuk Hang marks the beginning of Stride’s plans to expand its student accommodation platform in Hong Kong. Stride aims to become a leading owner and operator of student and young professional accommodation, providing high-quality living environments that combine quality, community and professional management.
